Objective
A book cover redesign using only Typography. No pictures. Use experimental and creative typography to communicate the subject or story of the book.
The book cover design must include a cover, back and spine. Your cover design should give the consumer a sense of what the book is about, without giving away too much, especially the ending.
Process
I chose to create a cover based on one of the titles of my favorite book series The Cat Who... by Lilian Jackson Braun.
I used The Cat Who Came to Breakfast, because I thought it would be cool to integrate bacon into the design.
There were many versions of the bacon I could have used but I thought it looked great in the text, as well as the cat fur.
I chose Freud for the typography because it look kind of playful, and the colours are calming because the story is about going to and island named Breakfast Island.
